For a saiyan, Rin has always been a warmhearted person. He always enjoyed fighting, but never really hurting people. if there was ever anyone in trouble, Rin would be the first there to help them even if he knew that he didn't stand a chance against whatever the problem was. Even in the worst situations Rin would try  to keep a smile on his face. In no means is he a pushover though. He is capable of defending himself and others if needed, and can show hostility to anyone who emits negative energy. Rin is also quite creative when it comes to battle styles and custom moves , and tends to strategize while going up against opponents instead of just all out attacking them. While he greatly cares for human life, he doesn't share the same values that they have and has trouble understanding their motives for living life the way they do. In his free time, he is constantly studying the humans that he lives with and their mentalities in an attempt to one day understand why they try so hard to maintain their society and ethics. Even though he doesn't understand them, he'd gladly die to save them. Another thing about Rin is that he is not scared of much. The only thing that he is afraid of is allowing someone to be hurt or killed due to his own weakness. This is why he is always training. To better himself, and maintain his strength so he can always be able to save those in need.

Back Story:

Baron was born on new vegeta, 130 years after the planet was wished back with the dragon balls. After being born, he was placed along with the rest of the newborns in the incubator room for the next few days. Both of his parents were unlike the saiyans that resided on the old planet vegeta, and were actually kindhearted and good. They loved their son very much, and would gladly die for him. Things looked good for them all, until it happened. There was a strange, pitch black figure who was floating within the depths of space. No one could sense him or even see him until he got close to the planet. Vegeta, (The great grandson of Vegeta Jr) was their ruler, and he was the first to see the figure. He went out to float within the realms of space, facing the creature. It said nothing. It did nothing. Vegeta was a bit more direct. He charged all of his ki into his palm, and then shot it out towards the figure. It hit the figure at full force, but to literally no effect. It was even singed. The creature then gave off a smile, inhaled slightly, and blew out towards Vegeta. The air from it alone put a hole in vegeta's body, sending him tumbling down to the endless pit that lies at the bottom of space. Barron's father noticed the creature, and saw what it did to Vegeta. He couldn't sense it's power, but that was because it was so powerful that it was literally immeasurable. It's presence alone was enough to start causing the planet to crumble. He knew that they didn't have much time left. There was no time or space. there was only one saiyan pod within the immediate area. He knew who he had to save. He took his son rin out of his incubator, and put him in a saiyan pod headed directly for planet namek. He sent it away, and then looked to the creature. The creature held out it's palm, forming a microscopic ki blast. The beast fired it, and it connected with new vegeta turning the entire planet into rubble and killing everyone on it. As Barron was within the space pod, the debris from the planet smacked into his pod, knocking him off course and sending him tumbling directly towards earth.

As he entered the earth's atmosphere, he could be seen as a meteor to those living upon the planet. his direct target was an island in the middle of nowhere. But not just any island. The island that once belonged to Master Roshi, which was now being inhabited by the only remaining descendant of the legendary goku. A very, very old Goku Jr. While he was old, he still was very strong. He saw the pod as it was crashing down to earth, and jumped up in the air and caught it. He brought it back down to his island and opened it to find a baby inside. A baby with a tail. He never understood why it had it, but took the baby in, and raised it as his own. He gave the baby the name Rin, and once he was old enough began to train him in martial arts. Eventually, rin was 14 years old and practically a pro fighter. One day, Goku Jr sent him into town giving him the directions to go see a strange lady who ran a psychic tent, who would be wearing a necklace attached to an orange ball with 3 stars upon it. He went out into town, and got the ball from the lady, but stayed out into the night. It was his first time in the city at night, and he admired the beauty of the sky. He looked at the moon, and then the natural saiyan transformation began. He became a great ape, destroying the city and it's people. Goku Jr came into the city to find Rin, and saw the great monkey destroying the city. Then, he remembered what his grandmother pan had told him about the saiyans and how they could transform into great apes when they have tails. Upon realizing that Rin was actually a saiyan, Goku Jr knew how to defeat him. Using the great kamehameha wave, he took down a skyscraper, and tipped it over onto Rin's tail pinning him to the ground and weakening him. He then focused ki into his hand, forming a ki sword, and cut all of his tail off besides to root. With his tail destroyed, Rin began to turn back into his normal form. Realizing that Rin was too dangerous for the civilians, he took him to yanzibit heights. Giving him clothes, a sword, a bag of food and a dragon ball, he left him there. Rin woke up there, not remembering anything that had happened, and not where he was. Within the bag of food there was a note left from Goku Jr. He explained to him that he had to be on his own, and that he was going on an adventure for them. he gave him the dragon radar, and told him to search for six other orange balls with stars on them with it, and that when he got them all together a large dragon would appear and grant whatever wish he made. Rin was heartbroken that Goku jr had abandoned him, but made it his goal to find the dragon balls and make a wish. he gathered up his supplies, and went out venturing and began his journey to find the magic balls.
