RP Guide

Introduction-This guide is for anyone who is new to RP in general as well as those new to this site. This topic will include races, powers, transformations, writing styles, etc. All of the basics will be here for your convenience, courtesy of your administrators and moderators. Most of us here have watched the anime known as Dragon Ball, right? If not this may help you quite a bit. If so, then this may be a good review for what you may have in mind for your character. If you have questions about anything that may not be in here, please ask any of the site's staff. Thank you!

You start off no matter what race with a power level of 10k
You get up in the ranks by using Power Levels. Power levels will increase by how much you post. Instead of sentence count or SC , it will be counted with word count or WC. Word count is the total amount of words you use on training and fighting posts. You may use your word count to level up your character stats. The more words you type per post, the more power you gain. 1000 WC= 1k added to your power level. The maximum power level you can gain each week will be listed below.

Powers and Transformations

Races/powers-

In Dragon ball, there was a mystical power know as Ki that all living beings had. Whether it was on the beautiful planet Earth or the desert planet of Rudeeze, every organic life form has it. The only difference it whether or not you can use it or not. The use of said power can come from years and years of training with a full capable master, but for some it may have came naturally due to there strength and will power. I have come here to tell you that you can use this with the right training. you may be of any race and be able to use this Ki to a certain degree as well as make it unique to yourself. Each race will be known for what they may be able to do specifically. Some may use Ki for strength and fighting, others may put it to a more classical and respective use as to making technology or 'dragon balls' from it. Now I will tell you of the known races and their unique skills...

First off are the Earthlings. These color full bunches of joy are one of the youngest and maybe the most hated creatures in the universe. They are not hated for their crimes against others, their rude senses, nor have they ever wronged anyone in the universe. They are hated because of their youth. The humans don't know much about Ki. They honestly think that they are the only significant race in the universe but little do they know that they are wrong. Only a select few have actually learned how to control and even amply Ki to their own use but they still have a lot to learn.

Next on our list are the Saiyans. These colorful little bundles of joys are aggressive. They are known to be the most fierce warriors in the galaxy. When their home planet, Vegeta, was still around, they kept the name of being a warrior race. Literally. Everyone on this vast planet was able to use Ki in great ways. Saiyans, though, were very unique. They dawned tails upon birth that were once a proen weak spot until they quickly adapted and learned to harden them essentially destroying the vulnerability of the tail itself. This tail wasn't only a weak spot though, once it conceived enough Blutz waves from the moon, any Saiyan would be able to change into a great ape. Now a great ape is nothing like an ape from earth. Larger than a sky scraper, these ape can tear down anything in its path. Aside from the massive, barbaric side of the Saiyans, comes the heroic legends of the Super Saiyan. This is the ultimate form of a Saiyan that knows no boundaries in power.

The Namekians are next on our list. These aliens are somewhat of the stereotypical alien. Antenna, green, circular heads, etc. Well this is a brilliant race of aliens. They are known for their peace and tranquility as well as their decisive and intellectual minds. This race is made up of no specific gender, this means that they are simple beings. The grand elder is the 'father' of all the Namekians, though. All they know of is peace, although they do have such precautions as to have a fighter class among them for any protection they may need.

The Ice Jins are a race that used to have pure evil in their blood lines. The Ice Jins also know violence as a strong suit and are proud of it. They often to have multi-colored crystals on their bodies as will has reptile like skin. They are known for committing mass genocide and selling off the planet to the highest bidder. Now they are more peaceful with the exception of a few who think they are still higher than others. they will be put into their places eventually. They always do...

Androids are a creation of mass destruction. First made by Dr. Gero, these half man, half machine beings were used to bring complete destruction and terror to everyone, including himself. The first models were the absorption units that that were able to absorb energy on contact. The next and more perfect models were the perpetual energy units that had limitless energy. But that doesn't mean that they could just use it whenever and however. Because they are half machine, they lose stamina slower than an average organic. But that was ages ago, now Androids are a proud race and are more mellow.

Majins are very tricky to deal with. Majins can be of any race no matter the size of shape. Majins are made by wizards who need lackies for their dirty work. Every once in a while, someone finds the will to break the chains of the magic binding them to the wizard and live their own lives still with the Majin power.

Kais are the very definition of the Great. They are the Creators and protectors of all life in the universe. Any being can become one of these Gods Of Creation. But you must be a highly good, dependable, and worthy warrior to earn such a title.

Gods of Destruction are the exact opposite of the Gods of Creation. These Gods have done nothing but evil and sleep for centuries even millennium awaiting for their time to destroy until the universe is in shambles. Together, the Gods of Destruction and the Gods of Creation give order and balance to the Universe.

Transformations

Each race has their own power ups and transformations. Each is unique in its own way and all you have to do is discover how to unlock such an ability increasing technique. The most notable is the Kaioken Technique that can raise the attack power and speed of any race. This amplifies everything right down to muscle mass but there is a limit. Each level of kaioken will increase you power. Going past x20 will make your body ravage itself essentially tearing it to shreds leaving you for dead. Other races have their own specific types of boost. Saiyans have the ability to use Super Saiyan which is the all powerful legend that puts everyone in awe. But before being able to do something like this, normal Saiyans who have tails may use the Great Ape transformation. Giving them the appearance of a massive ape, their power is increased exponentially. Another race that has its transformations are the Ice Jins. The most powerful warriors of this race have at least 4 stages of transformations. Some may have the rare fifth transformation. Some Majins may have a transformation as well. Depending on the species under the casters mind control.

Writing

We here at DBH enjoy seeing all types of skilled writers take part in the forum activities. Every time you write a post, you are furthering your skills as a writer and bettering yourself for future events that may require descriptive writing. We also love to see new RP'ers develop their skill for writing. We accept all skill levels from no experience to full novel writers. But either way it goes, we do have some small things to say to help you guys further your experience as writers. First off, writing your posts in paragraph form is preferred by us as the readers of your story line. Details are necessary to get the full feel of what your character is doing. We would also like it if the third person point of view was used when typing out your posts. This helps everyone to understand what everyone is doing around you as well as what your character is doing. You do not have to do this, it is just recommended. One liners can not and will not be used here. "I sat down and watched the sky" will not help us understand what your character is really doing or what emotions they are feeling at this present moment. Lastly, we will not tolerate GM or 'God Moding'. This strongly prohibited and will see consequences. If someone is accused of doing so, please contact a staff member to over see the situation and straighten it out. If necessary, applicable consequences will be given to those who are unruly and who have been warned of GMing on multiple occasions.
